She’s black and proud she’s a Nigerian with great hope for her nation, she gave a speech on her country during her presentation here’s her speech;

 
Dear Nigeria, from the lands of Zaria to Calabar, from Lagos to Abuja I feel your Love. 5Million people proudly walk your streets half of them with no shoes on their feet, but if you ask them where they are from they will proudly proclaim, Nigeria we Hail thee!

They say I am not of your blood because I have plead to serve abroad, but if you ask me my name I will proudly proclaim SOGBEYE KELECHI OKORO, an Ibo woman with Kalabari blood from Port Harcourt.

 I will say, my people put down the words of Hate, corruption and internal segregation. This tribalism and foolishness is brewing more hate. Britain may have given us our name but they can never take our faith.

The Beauty of the many languages we speak, that’s why we need to stand on our feet. Let’s come together as one and make a change.

Nigeria I believe in your love and beauty and one day from the bondage you will be free. If you come together and believe we could truly accomplish this dream run this world and stand on our own two feet.

 This too I believe that’s why when they ask me my pedigree I say Nigeria we hail thee and drop to my knees.

Veteran peace campaigner Archbishop Desmond Tutu has been awarded $1m (£620,000) by the Mo Ibrahim Foundation for "speaking truth to power".

The London-based Foundation called the cleric "one of Africa's great voices for justice, freedom, democracy and responsible, responsive government".

He won the Nobel Peace Prize and 10m Swedish Krona (£935,000) in 1984 for his campaign against apartheid.

Archbishop Tutu responded by thanking his wife, Leah, for her guidance.

"I have been very fortunate throughout my life to be surrounded by people of the highest caliber, beginning with my extraordinary wife," said the archbishop in a statement."

“It is these generous people who have guided, prodded, assisted, cajoled   and ultimately allowed me to take the credit,” he reiterated.

Outspoken cleric
The South African cleric remains outspoken on international affairs, and has been a fierce critic of Israel's treatment of the Palestinians as well as China's treatment of Tibetans.

In August, he pulled out of a leadership summit in Johannesburg because he refused to share a platform with former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Archbishop Tutu said Mr. Blair and former US President George W Bush should be tried at the International Criminal Court in The Hague for lying about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction in order to justify invading the country.

Mr. Blair issued a strongly worded defense of his decisions, rejecting the archbishop's allegations as "completely wrong as every single independent analysis of the evidence has shown".


MO Ibrahim Foundation
The Mo Ibrahim Foundation also offers an annual $5m prize to a former African head of state for good governance.

The most recent recipient of that award was Cape Verde's former President Pedro Verona Rodrigues Pires in 2011.

Winners must have been democratically elected and agreed to leave office.
In some years the prize has not been awarded because no-one has been deemed a worthy enough winner.

The winner of the 2012 prize, if it is awarded, would be announced later this month.

Mo Ibrahim
Mo Ibrahim was born in 1946 and is a British-Sudanese mobile communications entrepreneur and philanthropist who made billions from investing in Africa.

He argues that his foundation's $5m prize, the world's most valuable individual prize  is needed because many leaders of sub-Saharan African countries come from poor backgrounds and are tempted to hang on to power for fear that poverty is what awaits them when they give up the levers of power.

The inaugural prize was awarded in 2007 to Joaquim Chissano, Mozambique's former president, who has since acted as a mediator in several African disputes.

‘Go back to its roots’
After announcing the award for Archbishop Tutu, Mr Ibrahim launched a scathing attack on South Africa's governing African National Congress.

He said that the party which led the fight to end white minority rule should "go back to its roots" and needed some "soul-searching".

Mr Ibrahim said he was "less enthusiastic" about investing in South Africa than he was 5 or 10 years ago but said he was still sure the country had a great future.

Susan McKinley's breast

We don’t know the parasites lurking in our new under garments, we sometimes were even without washing, no matter what part of the world you buy under garments they are not a hundred percent germ free. This is Susan’s story:  

 After anthropologist Susan McKinley came back home from an expedition in South America, she noticed a very strange rash on her left breast. Nobody knew what it was and she quickly dismissed it believing that the holes would leave within a short time.

Upon her return, she decided to see a doctor after she started developing intense pains. The doctor, not knowing the exact severity of the disease, gave her antibiotics and special creams. As time lapsed the pain did not subside and her left breast became more inflamed and started to bleed..

She decided to bandage her sores, however as Susan's pain grew more intense she decided to seek help from a more certified doctor. Dr. Lynch could not diagnose the infection and told Susan to seek the aid of one of his colleagues who specialized in dermatology whom was sadly on vacation. She waited for two weeks and finally was able to reach the dermatologist.  

A life-changing event

At her next appointment she had a life changing experience: To Miss McKinley's surprise, after she removed the bandages, they found larva growing and squirming within the pores and sores of her breast.

Sometimes these wicked creatures would all together simultaneously move around into different crevices. What she didn't know was that the holes were in fact, deeper than she had originally thought for these larvae were feeding off the fat, tissue, and even milk canals of her bosom.

The root of the problem was eventually discovered to be the effect of parasites from the newly acquired bra she wore immediately before she travelled.

Some times in life we omit the most important things in life and concentrate on the least important things in life, wasting our time on things that are not worth our time, like this the story of this king;

Once upon a time there was a rich King who had four wives. The king married them at different times and had different reasons of loving them; he made sure they knew why he loved them in different ways.

 He loved the 4th wife the most because of her beauty and her skin and adorned her with rich robes and treated her to the finest of delicacies. He gave her nothing but the best.  

He also loved the 3rd wife very much because she was presentable and social and was always showing her off to neighboring kingdoms. However, he feared that one day she would leave him for another.  

He also loved his 2nd wife. She was his confidant and was always kind, considerate and patient with him. Whenever the King faced a problem, he could confide in her, and she would help him get through the difficult times.  

The King's 1st wife was a very loyal partner and had made great contributions in maintaining his wealth and kingdom. However, he did not love the first wife. Although she loved him deeply, he hardly took notice of her!!!

Who would go with me?

One day, the King fell ill and he knew his time was short. He thought of his luxurious life and wondered, "I now have four wives with me, but when I die, I'll be all alone."  

Thus, he asked the 4th wife, "I have loved you the most, endowed you with the finest clothing and showered you with great care. Now that I’m dying, will you follow me and keep me company?" "No way!" replied the 4th wife and she walked away without another word. Her answer cut like a sharp knife right into his heart.  

The sad King then asked the 3rd wife, "I have loved you all my life. Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?" "No!" replied the 3rd wife. "Life is too good! When you die, I'm going to remarry!" His heart sank and turned cold.  

He then asked the 2nd wife, "I have always turned to you for help and you've always been there for me. When I die, will you follow me and keep me company?" "I'm sorry, I can't help you out this time!" replied the 2nd wife. "At the very most, I can only walk with you to your grave." Her answer struck him like a bolt of lightning, and the King was devastated.

I will go  

Then a voice called out: "I'll go with you. I'll follow you no matter where you go. "The King looked up, and there was his first wife. She was very skinny as she suffered from malnutrition and neglect. Greatly grieved, the King said, "I should have taken much better care of you when I had the chance!"  

In truth, we all have the 4 wives in our lives:   Our 4th wife is our body, No matter how much time and effort we lavish in making it look good, it will leave us when we die.  

Our 3rd wife is our possessions, status and wealth, when we die, it will all go to others.  

Our 2nd wife is our family and friends, No matter how much they have been there for us, the furthest they can stay by us is up to the grave.  

And our 1st wife is our Soul, Neglected in pursuit of wealth, power and the pleasures of the world.

 However, our Soul is the only thing that will follow us wherever we go. Cultivate, strengthen and cherish it now, for it is the only part of us that will follow us to the throne of God and continue with us throughout Eternity.  

Thought for the day: Remember, when the world pushes you to your knees, you're in the perfect position to pray.

THE EXPERIENCE OF YOU

Most people who make major possible changes in live are people who tend to know who they are and the change they can bring about. Its high time you stop being who you think you are and start experiencing who you really are.

Asking yourself the basic questions of live is a step to discover who you really are. E.g. why do I exist?

·        What is my mission?

·         How can I make an impact?

·          When am I going to make a difference?

·        Where am I to impact?

·        Who am I?

Giving an answer to these questions is the act of discovering who you are and the reason of
your existence.

It’s just like you being the son of the richest man in Nigeria and you are working as a cleaner in one of his organisations, when you are supposed to be on top, its shows you haven't discovered who you are. Or a lion eating grasses with goats. You were born with great potentials bubbling from within waiting to burst and you because you can't feel it you settle for whatever you are offered.

Born to stand out

You were born a leader to stand out, but you want to belong. You may think you are on the same page with the people you move around, feeling like you are of the same standards but no, you are meant to lead them not be lead by them, you are different and you shouldn’t think less.

You think they don’t know you are great? Well they do, they see someone great in you they see your dreams and desire bubbling from your within and they deceive you in the name of being your friends to keep you within their level, and sometimes even lower than them.

The basic things that help to boost you or should I say, inspire you towards achieving your dream, is getting to know who your true friends are, people that would stand by you through the rain and stormy weather. When you fall will be there for you, friends who can add to your live not reducing from what you already have   

Discovery of you.

The day you begin to ask yourself the basic questions of your existence like, “Who am I?" "Why am I here?" "What am I to do here?" that's when you start discovering the true person you are on the inside, not the mask you had been wearing.

Knowing You
 When you start seeing yourself as different, you start doing things your way. You are getting to know or familiarise with you.

Experiencing You.

When you stop expecting Complements and start getting better at what you do. When you start touching people around, when you start working towards the reason you were born, when you now see what people used to see in you. When you know you are blessed and discover there is no one like you on earth then you experience what is like to be who you really are.
